Do you exactly know what you are made up of? - Quantum field theory - truesciencebehindscience

Have you ever wondered how what the particles are made up of? If you are in secondary school then according to you they would be made up of atoms. If in high school then you will tell that it's an electron. If a college student then obviously quarks. But, quarks are also not the smallest its the wave function which is proved by Quantum field theory. I accept that this sounds much weird but it's true. Today, I will tell you this is so, let's get into the science behind science -

Before we start try to believe me at every point. Just by watching the name of this theory, we can conclude that Quantum field theory is a combination of quantum mechanics and field theory. Before we know about Quantum field theory we should know its components called quantum mechanics and field theory.

 

Quantum mechanics tell us that the more we think our world is simple but it's more complicated. We think everything in our surroundings is just made up of either particle or wave. But quantum mechanics states that at a point of time when no one is observing that particular object, at that time that object is in both possibilities wave and particle. Whenever that person observes the particle, the two possibilities collapse to one the only result which is visible to the observer. All the popular physicist assumes that quantum mechanics is the only theory which tells us the truth no other theory can tell the real reason behind anything. So, no matter how weird it looks to you but, it's the truth that you have to accept today or tomorrow.

 

Field theory states the construction of the dynamics of fields. In other words, it is a specification of a field changes concerning time or other variables. Normally, we assume that where nothing is present there is nothing but there are fields. Between two same poled magnets there is nothing we could see but there is a magnetic field. Alike, In our complete universe, every place is filled with fields.

Quantum field theory is just the mash-up of both theories. Quantum field theory states that In our universe at every place, at every dimension, and at any point in time their many fields present which we can't see. Just like the magnetic field, gravitational field, electric field, etc. Surprisingly, every elementary particle has its field. Every field is represented by numbers. According to the requirement of direction and magnitude, the fields are classified in two namely, scalar field (only requires magnitude) and vector field (requires both direction and magnitude).

 

 

When the fields are provided with the energy they turn into higher energy states. Which forms the waves, these waves come up as particles. In other words, when we give energy to any field, they develop waves which are further called particles, Let's take an example - when an electron's field is provided with the energy it produces waves which give us the electron particle. At what position the field gains energy, there only it forms. Moreover, when the energy spreads, it seems that the particle is moving. To generate particles, there should be a required amount of energy for the particular particle. The exchange in the energy of fields results in the formation of force.

 

It means that everything, in reality, is made up of energy which is gained by fields. So, it concludes that everything is made up of fields that are provided with energy.
